      20,000 gallon tank construction

I started a thread in the introduction section but I figured this would be a better place for it . I was asked to post construction Pictures and more information so here it goes , feel free to ask any question you like . I built the tank and everything that went into it myself so I should be able to answer any question you have , if I didn't forget . the tank has been running for over a year now and things are doing well .

Thanks for the pics. They are worth a thousand words, BUT, What did you use to coat the walls with? And how thick is the Acrylic/Glass ?
How many of the plumbing lines are returns and how many are drains? What is your total turn over rate of water vol?

Looking good so far Bill. I am really digging the way you attached the glass. Thats a lot of water volume! Look forward to seeing the end result

The tank is heating with two 200,000 Btu boilers , only one is used , the other is a back up . cooling is done through 3000 feet of pex pipe buried ten feet in the ground with glycol running through it . There are 4 return pumps each pumping 54 GPM , there is one sand filter running 75 GPM , three skimmers taking 75 GPM each , a closed loop with 9 2 inch motorized ball valves and 60GPM flow . The surge fills up every 5 minutes and dumps 150 gallons through 6 three inch motorized ball valves randomly controlled by the controller . everything is automated and run by a touch screen PLC . the humidity is controller by an exhaust fan and a set of motorized louvers that draw in outside air , it come on for 5 minutes every half hour or if the room humidity sensor detects high humidity . lighting is done by 16 400 watt 10k bulbs on electronic ballasts .
