Tell us about yourself:
I was born in Mexico City and lived there until I was 14 almost 15, then I lived in Canada for about 4 years until I met my husband and moved down to Washington . In Canada I used to work in summer camps with kids 4- 6, I guess that's why i'm such a goof ball in here sometimes hehe, I also worked at a restaurant as a hostess. Right now i'm a staying at home mom, I have a 2 almost 3 year old boy(Antonio) , a husband and we're also expecting another baby. I'm a Seahawks' fan, I love playing poker, working out, baking and posting and checking out what's going on all the time in Reef Frontiers.
How did you get involved in the saltwater hobby?
I think Nemo did the job, I was watching finding nemo and my husband told me that clownfish (nemo) existed in real life (seriously I never saw such a beautiful fish in my life until the movie) and since we couldn't get a puppy... well I decided to get into the saltwater hobby.
Tell us about your tank
I have a 37 gal tank, Fiji live rock, less than an inch sand, I run one 175w 14k Hamilton MH, Red Sea Prizm skimmer.
Fishes: 1 gorgeous false perc, a six line and a damsel
Inverts: 1 Long Tentacle Anemone, 1 cleaner shrimp, about 16 snails and an emerald crab
Corals: zoos, devil's hand leather, green star polyps, a frogspawn, mushrooms, and tons of kenya trees.
How did you become involved with Reef Frontiers?
hmm as far as i can remember, my husband was looking at a thread about Mike (Mojo) selling clams lol!! and then I started checking out the website too.
What is your reef keeping philosophy?
Do what works for you.......and remember that what works for you might not work for somebody else, and read before you buy.
What is your dream tank?
My dream tank is a 100 gal tank, with 4 or 5 Tunzes, MHs, a sump, calcium reactor, a very nice skimmer that can do the job, not so much rock, bare bottom, lps, a few sps, some clams since I have always wanted to keep one , a few tangs, a school of clowns, and a six line.
Do you have any advice for others?
Be patient with whatever you do, if you have any question... don't be afraid to ask.
ohhh and flooding the house it's always fun ..... lol!!! ok ok just kidding.
