Common name: Pyramid Snails

Parasitic snails commonly found on Tridacnid Clams, but can also be found on snails or other critters (i.e. Astrea snails, Limpets). Their overall length is only a few mm. Inspection of the edge of the mantle and the byssal of clams before placement is important to reduce the chance of infestation.
