      Environment: reef-associated; marine; depth range 3 - 46 m
      Distribution: Southeast Pacific: known only from the Cocos, Malpelo and Galapagos islands.
      Biology: Stays under ledge overhangs and other shaded areas on rocky reefs and slopes during the day. Feeds in the open at night
      Aquarium Care: Provide with plenty of hiding places, overhangs, and caves. It would likely be found hiding during the daytime or hanging out in shaded areas, and feeding at night. May spend time out in the open if provided a dimly lit tank in a lower traffic area. Best to keep with passive tankmates. Feed a varied diet to keep the Blacktip Cardinalfish healthy.
