      Scientific Name: Chromis flavicauda
      Max. size: 7.0 cm SL (male/unsexed)
      Environment: reef-associated; non-migratory; marine; depth range 50 - 61m
      Distribution: Western Atlantic: known only from Bermuda and Brazil.
      Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 11. Body blue; dorsal fin blue, yellow distally; caudal peduncle, caudal and anal fins yellow; pelvic fins yellow at edges.
      Biology: Inhabits offshore reefs on relatively level bottoms, often covered with coralline algae rhodoliths.
      Aquarium Care: These are schooling and peaceful damselfishes, and basically an open water feeder. They should be kept in schools/shoals of three or more. Feed a varied diet a few times daily. Meaty foods such as vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, flake foods high in vegetable matter, and other quality frozen foods are the preferred foodstuffs.
