      Scientific Name: Chromis hanui
      Max. size: 6.0 cm SL (male/unsexed)
      Environment: reef-associated; non-migratory; marine; depth range 6 - 50 m
      Distribution: Eastern Central Pacific: confined to the Hawaiian Islands.
      Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Body short, almost round. Color is brown with a black spot on the pectoral fin base. The caudal fin, caudal peduncle and the adjacent portion of the dorsal and anal fins white.
      Biology: Inhabits inshore and offshore coral reefs. Found in aggregations above corals
      Aquarium Care:These are schooling and peaceful damselfishes, and basically an open water feeder. They should be kept in schools/shoals of three or more. Feed a varied diet a few times daily. Meaty foods such as vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, flake foods high in vegetable matter, and other quality frozen foods are the preferred foodstuffs.Has a temperature range of 74 - 79°F (23 - 26°C).
