      Scientific Name: Chromis fumea
      Max. size: 10.0 cm SL (male/unsexed)
      Environment: reef-associated; non-migratory; marine; depth range 3 - 25 m
      Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: eastern edge of the Indian Ocean; northwestern Australia and elsewhere, mainly in the western Pacific region.
      Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 13-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 9-10
      Biology: Inhabits lagoon and seaward coral and rocky reefs, usually in deeper waters
      Aquarium Care:These are schooling and peaceful damselfishes, and basically an open water feeder. They should be kept in schools/shoals of three or more. Feed a varied diet a few times daily. Meaty foods such as vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, flake foods high in vegetable matter, and other quality frozen foods are the preferred foodstuffs.
