      Scientific Name: Gobiodon citrinus
Max. size: 6.6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
      Environment: reef-associated; marine
Distribution: Indo-Pacific: Red Sea south to Delagoa Bay, Mozambique and east to Samoa; north to southern Japan, south to the Great Barrier Reef; also in Micronesia.
Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-11; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 9
Biology: Associated with colonies of broadly branched corals (Acropora spp.). Produces toxic mucus. Has been reared in captivity
Aquarium Care: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists mainly of benthic invertebrate. Requires a meaty diet, i.e., enriched brine shrimp, mysis, finely chopped fish or shrimp flesh, and other various frozen carnivore foods, with one or two feedings per day. They should not be housed with aggressive fishes such as groupers, dottybacks, triggerfishes or aggressive angelfishes. In a reef tank with sps corals, feeding can be reduced to once every other day. May nip coral polyps. One of the more popular species as it's bolder and more visible than other family members.
