      Max. size: 15.0 cm TL (male/unsexed)
      Environment: reef-associated; marine
      Distribution: Western Pacific = Philippines north to Japan and Korea.
      Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 12-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 18-20; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 15-16
      Biology: Found in shallow rocky reefs. Spawning occurs in groups at sunset when water temperature is 23°C. Oviparous.
      Aquarium Care: This species feeds on filamentous algae, tentacles of polychaete worms, and plankton crustaceans. It will also ingest hydroids, corals (soft and stony), sponges, anemones, errant polycahete worms, and fish eggs.
