      Pros: Quiet
Cons: comes with cut tube to control water level

I have the SWC-160 and I always have to tinker with the flow / level. If I do not open it up at least once a week the discharge piping gets clogged and everyting it skimmed for the last week is right back into the tank. Would not recommend to people that want to set it and leave it. I prefer ASM design for discharge pipes.

      Pros: Price, skim production
      Cons: None so far

This is one awesome skimmer! It didn't go thru a break in period at all, started producing skimmate the 1st hour in the tank. It is easy to maintain and adjust also. I don't have to adjust it much, when I do it's because I let the sump level get too low. I have had it running a little over a year now with no problems. Well worth the price!

Pros: Physical size and tank size load rating
Cons: A bit noisy at first

I have the SWC 200 extreme skimmer
Its been running for a few months now and its working very well. I had to fool around with the discharge tube a bit at first but once I found that sweet spot I never have to move it. I have no startup problems when I turn it off for cleaning and it runs pretty quiet. I also had no break in time for the skimming to start. I had a full cup of nastys with in the first 12 hours.
