I hate to think that its robbing my sps of calcium, but I am relatively new to the reef hobby and the fact that I am growing it like mad makes me at least feel like I'm doing something right. I guess?

1 part vinegar to 3 parts water. Some people make it stronger, but vinegar has a tendancy to soften plastic if used too strong. I use the 1/3 ratio and run the power head while its soaking. Takes a little longer but I also keep extra powerheads so I can replace them while they are being cleaned.

love it -- at least on the rock and power heads. It kind of helps hide the power heads or at least blends them in.

Its a love/hate thing for me. I think its great on the rocks & back of the tank. Its not bad cleaning it off glass but it sucks cleaning it off acrylic!

I didn't vote since none of the options fit my thinking.

I have long since given up whether I like it or not, as it apparently likes my tanks, and I have no way to discourage it.

I may complain endlessly about it, especially after you spend over an hour cleaning glass, but it sure adds color and character!
