Come on in, it's cold out there:)

Welcome to the coldest club around. I am hoping this will be a great place to ask/answer questions and problem solve this new frontier of marine aquaria. So please introduce yourself and what current or future projects you have.

ok, so first dumb question...or perhaps not. Can you turn a fridge into a tank?

Hmmm well it would be insulated for sure lol. The biggest thing would be making it water tight. But you would need a chiller. Well you might be able to mod the fridge chiller. But I would say it would be risky at best. I know that a mini fridge chiller idea has been tried but stu at Coldwater marine said they just don't perform reliably. And the hardest part would just be installing the double glass or a sheet of acrylic 3/4 to 1" thick. I like getting outside of the fridge ... Err box on that question though. I am toying with the idea that I could take the glass sheets from the 4x4 build Im stuck on and make a couple plywood tanks with it. That idea might have some merit
