    Cool LED Light schedule?

I just got my LED fixture last night and was wondering what you guys and gals have for a lighting schedule? I can adjust in .5 hr increments here is the schedule I have programed now, I am starting low so I don't burn my corals (coming from PC lighting). The top line is the Blue channel and the bottom is white/colors. I run the moonlights for a few hrs after and before the light comes on so there's like 5 hrs of dark. Let me know what your opinions and also what your schedule is. I am unsure if my photo period is too long. Schedule is based off the SIN curve to simulate sunrise, noon, and sunset for a 12 hr day. Oh and the light is a photon 48 from reefbreeders and is 8" off the water line.

Definitely a good idea to start the leds on a lower power and ramp up over several weeks especially after using PC lighting. I started my leds over both our tanks at 15% and ramped them up over 3 weeks. I was overly cautious but I would rather be safe than sorry. We were running T-5's over one system and MH over the other. Both of the leds on our system are on a 9 hour photo period, the actinics come on a hour before the whites and are on a hour after.

Do you think I should lower the max intensity and shorten the photo period? I was thinking 12 hrs although ramped up and down may be to long?

Just slowly increase the intensity of your leds over a couple of weeks. I run my blues at 80% and my whites are at 65% I could go higher but I have LPS and zoas and that is enough for them. As far as your photo period goes I have never ran my lights that long maybe someone else will chime in.

I use a Current USA LED light for reef tank and it does all the work.
