I just (very hesitantly) gave them a poke, the mat is soft, the heads are hard, also (if this means anything) I did an iodine dip when I got these zoas and this guy is still alive.

Those are paly's, many call them sea foam palys. They can morph under different light from green to blue or grey. I got a couple polyp frag about a year ago. Knowing they spread fast I gave them a small rock isolated in the sand. They now cover a fifth of my sand bed lol

Sounds good, I'll keep you all updated. Hey derbird, the palys are spreading onto your sand?? Now I'm rethinking if I should move them to a rock in the sand, do you have fine sand or crushed coral? Mine is pretty fine

Mine is a medium grain sand. Its my fault it happened. I didn't think they could do that so when it started I didn't do anything to stop it. Lesson learned.
