    visitor in my backyard

Yesterday I walked out on my patio to fire up the grill and I saw this guy.
I know we have owls as I hear them all the time, but I was surprised to see this guy.
I was able to walk up within about 20 feet from him.
He hung around for about a half hour

    Hi Caitlen. How you doing?

It is cool to see wildlife around.
I almost hate to say it, but the day before I noticed a squirrel limping around my backyard.
I'm thinking the owl noticed too.

    So cool.
    How big was he?
You cant possibly know how you want to run your reef-system, until you have ran one.

My thoughts were it's a spotted owl.

My owl friend passed through for a second time during the day.
Going from right to left he was only in view for a couple seconds, but he still managed to grab a slow moving squirrel.

I am totally surprised to see him in the daylight hours and even more surprised to see him hunt during the day.
