    The End?

I'll have to agree with this as well. RF is kinda dated and having no social media presence certainly doesn't help. One of the main issues also is that there's really no local groups or clubs anymore that used to support RF like back in the PSAS days.

    LED question.

Yes I am still very happy with the light. The growth of my SPS is consistent with the MH I had previously. A couple SPS did brown out but that may have had more to do with my tank maintenance than the light. At the same token, a couple SPS have also brightened up a lot more also.

    Simple multi-chip LED

I worked with a seller who was willing to put together a kit of everything one would need (including the thermal adhesive) All that is needed are a 120V cord and a 12V DC adapter for the heatsink cooling fan (I have plenty of old cell phone chargers around I can use for that) 100W LED Lamp for...

    Simple multi-chip LED

I think I am going to go with 2 X 50W chips instead. Almost every multichip builds I have read about have people running their 100Watters at 35-50% only. If that's the case then why not use a smaller chip to begin with?

    Simple multi-chip LED

And like yours, my goal for this build is to keep it as simplistic and low tech as possible (for now) I may do another build at a later date using one of the dream chips. Something like this Aliexpress.com : Buy 90w 100w PWM dimmable Panel 5 channels suitable for fish tank ,Lighting for Coral...

    Simple multi-chip LED

My 125g is a 6 footer but it only has 2 openings, the middle has a 12 inch glass brace over it. I have 2 rock islands on either side and not growing anything in the middle anyway so I figured 2 X 100W should be ok.

    Simple multi-chip LED

Any updates on this build? How is the growth of SPS under this? I am in the process of putting together a build for my 125g tank (SPS dominated) and am trying to decide whether to use 50W or 100W chips. Any thoughts? Was thinking about this chip 100W Cold White 15000K Royal Blue 455nm...

    Simple multi-chip LED

That looks pretty nice. Curiously why didn't you add any color enhancing LEDs with the center light? Nice wave action as well.

    Simple multi-chip LED

I'm interested to see how this works out as well. Been thinking about jumping on LED myself but to be honest I haven't been all that impressed with the spread and coverage. Maybe the multi chip would be better?
