Free 250 watt double ended metal halide bulbs

No one wants these? Would love them to get put to use lighting a reef instead of sitting on a shelf. New, never fired up.

Free 250 watt double ended metal halide bulbs

Have a pair of double ended HQI 250 watt metal halide bulbs. I think they are at 12,000 color. These have been sitting a few years since I took my tank down, but are still in box wrapped in bubble wrap from shipping. Free to whoever wants them. Would prefer they go to someone new to the hobby...

50 Gallon Breeder Sump Tank - $30 OBO

I have taken my tank down and would love to get rid of this last piece of equipment. It is a great sump, with plenty of size to hold tank water in case of a power failure. Has 3 baffles and a bubble tower. I used it on a 75 gallon tank, but it is big enough for a 120 or even 150. If anyone is...

50 Gallon Breeder Sump Tank - $30 OBO

50 gallon breeder sump for sale. First chamber has a bubble tower that can take 2 drain lines, that flows into protein skimmer chamber, then three baffles (over, under, over) into a large return chamber (I had lots of liverock here). Tank is glass, baffles are plexiglas. Attached with Weld-on 40...

    Inexpensive Probe Holder

I just made mine out of scrap plexiglass. A hook or 'J' shaped piece out of strips that hung over the side of the sump, then a flat piece with holes drilled in it that the probes sit in that keep the tops out of water level and the probe under water. I could take a pic if you are interested. It...

Easy Question on Overflow box installation

I found this on the comments on drfostersmith.com: 1" internal diameter rigid PVC pipe fits inside the bottom of the bulkhead. I didn't even have to cement mine in place, created a perfect seal from pressure alone. On the other end of my PVC I have a slip x barbed adapter and then 1" ID vinyl...

Easy Question on Overflow box installation

Hey guys, was wondering if I could query your collective minds on a simple overflow box plumbing question. I had a CPR type overflow that is clogged and virtually uncleanable due to its design. I bought a Eshoppes U-tube style to replace it, as it will be infinately easy to clean algae out of...

Yea trido, I think I will take you up on that. Should do the trick. It is threaded so I can put the hose adapter onto it?

Suggestions on cheap high head pressure pump for waste water

Still looking around. Mag7 is $85 prime shipping on amazon. The 5 is $75 prime shipping and the 9.5 is $88 prime shipping. Maybe I just get the mag 9.5 since it is 3 dollars more. Way more power than I need, but for 3 bucks, why not make it faster...... Let me know if you guys have any suggestions

Suggestions on cheap high head pressure pump for waste water

Just checked what I am currently using, at it is a Mag2 pump. Guess that explains my head pressure issues.... Maybe I don't need to go all the way to Mag7, as this one was working for awhile

Suggestions on cheap high head pressure pump for waste water

Hey guys, was wondering if one of you might have a suggestion for this. I am looking for a CHEAP high head pressure pump. Maybe 120 GPH at head pressure, but that doesn't matter that much. Purpose: Pump waste water out of my basement (55 gallon drum) occasionally when I want to empty it. Head...

Diver hunting octopus off alki beach, killing mothers on eggs

Thought this was worth posting, maybe someone knows this guy? Northwest Dive Club • View topic - Octopus hunters in Cove 2 ... Seems he is hunting octo's off alki beach. Got caught killing a mother who was on a clutch of eggs. Guess it is totally legal, but I support this guy trying to stop...

    Need Help with ID

If you have one aptasia, better to do overkill imo. I use a syringe and air tubeing and inject kalk into their hiding place (with flow off.) Wait 5-10 minutes, then vacuum out, watching the line to see if the aptasia comes out. I was going to suggest tossing the rock if it was small, but what...

Help! CO2 regulator has a slow leak

I missread. Thought you said $50, not $150. I found plenty for $150. Would like to just replace the regulator assembly and not buy all the extra parts that the $150 comes with. Unfortunately gotta do it cheap somehow, as we have a newborn and wife quit her job. No cash, and losing money every...

Help! CO2 regulator has a slow leak

I would love to just replace it for $50, but haven't been able to find a source. Any ideas? All I need is the regulator part, as I already have a solenoid, needle valve, bubble counter, etc. Just a regulator with the right attachment to put the solenoid assembly into. I have hunted online, but...

Help! CO2 regulator has a slow leak

I have the regulator unhooked from the CaRx now. It doesn't seem to want to twist out, but maybe I don't have the right tool. I am talking to a guy from reef fanatic now (where the regulator came from.) I will see what he says, and if not have my wife take it down to praxair today to see what...

Help! CO2 regulator has a slow leak

I will take it off and try to remove the stem tonight. It kind of looked removable at first glance, but I will have to check. It has been used for a number of years, so may be time to replace. Just a bit broke, so was hoping to salvage it
