This round we'll be testing out the Nyos Artemis! Excited to try this food and the others as the weeks go on, especially as we get more corals in this tank! Stay tuned and have a great New Years!!!! Oh, and go check out the Nyos food on our site!
We did a deep clean on the Nyos Skimmer, and just happen to find a few pieces of carbon inside. Thankfully nothing was damaged, but it DEFINITELY hindered the product and efficiency of the skimmer. Moral of the Story: Clean your equipment!
This week we received some gorgeous new zoanthids from Rob off of Facebook, who has a TREMENDOUS collection of corals!! But, before we put them in the system, we need to make sure they are clean and free of any pests that could have traveled on them. I don't have much doubt they are already pest free, but always better safe than sorry!
Tank Series - Tropic Eden Branch Rock, Magnets, and GSP
You can make all sorts of things for your tank with some simple epoxy coated magnets and some of the Tropic Eden branch rock! Frag Shelfs, GSP rocks, add to your rockscape overall appearance....the possibilities may be endless!
Tank Series - Get yourself a Python for your Tank, especially freshwater!
I love this piece of equipment...especially if you have a freshwater tank, I would HIGHLY recommend this one!! FYI, the more you turn on your sink, the more powerful suction you'll get. I didn't have AS strong because I didn't turn on the water at the sink fully. There are plenty of uses to have this piece of equipment in your arsenal!
We added Chaeto to the refugium this week, and man is it look good! We'll keep track of the growth and see if we can tell how the tank reacts to the new inhabitant. =D If all else fails with the grape culerpa, maybe we can start selling as the delicacy green caviar like in Japan!
