Calcium reactor size

While considering a calcium reactor (shopping and diy) I found these things come in alot of sizes. The Knop is tiny, Koralin is small, Aquamedic is medium/large. As far as DIY they all seem quite large even Bigt's more streamline design.
What does size have to do with it? Is it just the quantity of media and less work?
I understand that if you have a huge tank you may need a huge reactor but most have mederate tanks 60, 75 and 90 gallon.

It has more to do with how many times and how often you want to refill it. when looking for a reactor its best to find one that gives you the best and most concentrated effluent
