I have what appears to be grey coralline growing on my live rock. I didn't know coralline came in a grey color but, maybe it's not coralline. Any thoughts?

ReefShack---I have no idea about this being coraline algae or not, but I do know that it comes in many different colors so I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

It look very interesting, keep us posted on the growth as it would be cool to see what your rocks look like when/if they become fullly encrusted with that stuff!

If it's an encrusted growth I believe it is Corraline. I have some grey in my rock as well though it is slowly being over grown by the purple and green.

The question I would raise is: "Is all encrusted growth Corraline?"

Good looking rock!

Yep, that's corraline and it is more of a very pale shade of purple ... it is likely in a high lit area of the tank.
