My nitrates are kinda high right now and I think I know why. I feed daily and I have 5 chromis, a blue tang (2inches), 2 maroon clowns, a neon dottyback, a sixline wrasse, and a bi-color blenny. Ok, so cutting back slowly, eventually, how often can I feed, without causing stress to my fish? Would 2-3 times a week be to little? Also, if I could find a home for my chromis, could I pull all five at the same time? Would that cause a swing and make a die off of bacteria? Is it better to take out one fish at a time?

In my opinion removing all 5 chromis, won't hurt any thing. The bacteria will be just fine, they balance very quickly once established. Steve

What are you feeding your fish and how much are you feeding daily? Your tang should have Nori or greens every day, even if you decide to feed your other fish every other day.

Have you pulled the Chromis? If so, has the nitrate level dropped?
