It is so cute!

So does the rule about not putting mushrooms and zoanthids on the same rock apply? (The mushroom is supposed to win by shading out the zoos.) Not that you PUT him there. But what a wonderful reason to harvest a few zoos - and give him room to grow. Score!

I think that is a great pic. I won't even put my pic's on the internet anymore.

Luckily, my local reefing club (Saltwater Enthusiasts of St. Louis) is having a meeting this morning on how to take good digital pictures of fish tanks. I purchased a digital camera but due to a lot of overtime at work, I haven't had time to open the book.

ID'ing corallimorphia can be a great challenge. Is this a rhodactis or a frilly discosoma? Who knows? Even the scientists can't figure it out often.

As far as the corals being on the same rock....I think the stronger will survive. Looks like the polyps are curling away from the mushroom. Do they look like that all the time?
