Thanks Matt, I did do some research. But I wanted to know if anyone actually had experience with this locally. It seems that the optimal set-up is by using a two tap filters in series AFTER the unit. I like the idea that there is no waste.
Kold Ster will work well if your city water has a tds of 90 or lower you can add a DI to it to make tds 0 RODI system will do the same but with Kold Ster you will not used more water. RO di you make one gallon and waste 4 gallon. RGibson
the 3.8 gallon per minute would be nice. Cost of the unit is 300.00 and replacement filters are 42.00 and good for 5,000 gallons. In the long run if it works well it would definitely save money on waste water and filters.
Hi
Long story short Kold steril unit was my biggest reefkeeping mistake! When I checked my tds, it was the same as my tap water. Don't fall for the no waste water crap. I could get the same results filtering water through an old sock . DON'T BUY THIS JUNK!!!
