I have one anemone that has turned up missing. Yesterday morning it was there and now it is gone. I've looked all over my rock and can't find it. How could something that big just disappear? It looked great when I left for work yesterday. Any ideas?

They can shrink themselves down and fit in to small spaces in or under the rocks.

Did the anemone seem to be in good health before its' disappearance? If so, it could be ready to split and you may have 2 crawl out from under a rock ;)

It looked great the last time I saw it. I noticed it missing within 10 to 12 hours afterward. I have an overflow but it isn't in it. If it were to get sucked into a powerhead wouldn't there be a sign of it?

This is how it looked two days ago before it disappeared.

Yeah, there would be evidence of some sort. A gunky mess, PH stopped, possible ammonia spike, ticked off corals from getting anemone bits on them, something like that.
