I recently switched my tank to bare bottom and have several nassarius snails. Will they be able to survive without sand? I know they live for burying themsleves, but anyone have any experience with them in a BB tank?

Thanks,

Jason

Yea they are scavengers they will find food where ever it it. they just hide in the sand until stimulated by food, then out they come.

I have a bunch of Nassarius in my tank. They actually spend quite a lot of time scavenging on my live rock and seem to stay put on the rock a lot of the time. Only a few of mine actually burry themselves in the sand. Maybe I have confused Nassarius :)
