Mike, as you may know or not know but ORA aquacultured clams are not aquacultured by them. The past several years they have been purchasiing all their clams from the farm in the Marshall Islands but the 1st of the year they did buy the clam farm. :D The farm ships to them as well as a major wholesaler in LA and then sold to dealers across the country. The problem is that they over sold this past year and have not be able to keep us with the supply and demand so just small ones are coming in. Rod at the farm told me that it takes about 2+ years to raise a clam to that size from the larva stage. With that being said, there are a few new farms that have been rasing them but will not be ready to export till late 2005 or 2006.

I knew they were maricultured in the ocean, but did not know the full history. Sounds like clam farming is the place to be.....Although i am in the process of starting a major commercial coral farming facility. You do have nice product though barry, maybe we can work something out in the future with our frags that would go nice with those great clams you have.

You do have nice product though barry,
Thanks, we are lucky to be able to be close enough so that we can select what we buy. ;)

We have just also opened up a retail store in San Diego, as if I didn't have enough to do. LOL :)
