i have been away from the hobby for around ten years and alot has changed im sure. especially the prices. lol i have a 75 gallon tank and thats all. ok and a stand. i used to keep basic fish and some live rock. ive used canister and wet dry's but i am seeing people now just using live rock and skimmers. i dont want to spend tons of money all at once but would like to start a reef tank. can someone help me with the filtratiion and lighting that wont break the bank just yet?

Welcome to Reef Frontiers, and welcome back to the hobby!!! What types of corals are you looking to keep? Is your 75 gallon drilled for an overflow?
