I have had a black bumpy sea cucumber ( hitch hiker on my live rock) for about 12 years pretty much just going back and forth across the front half of my 240 pulling in dirty sand and pooping out clean sand.
I guess you could call it clean...........................

I've had a Yellow Florida Sea Cucumber (smaller species) for about 5 years or so and really appreciate all the work it does. I think that in a typical Reeftank with sand substrate they are very effective at keeping your sandbed clean. I would not put one in an aggressive FOWLR or take the chance with a Trigger, Mantis or Harlequin Shrimp as would surely lead to a DISASTER.

Cheers, Todd
