white tubes

hi im new here i have a 44 gal reef tank on my live rock i have these fuzzy white tubes that look like feather duster are growing like crazy please help?

no i cant i bought these brown polyps but never opened and now these white fuzzy tube like if i touch then they retrieve inside the tube the have like teticles like a feather duster

They are little feather dusters. Not a bad thing at all. I kind of like them in my tanks and take them as a sign that things are going well. HTH Steve

Do they resemble hydroids at all?



Some hydroids are beautiful, as seen in the article I link below. Hydroid polyps are the asexual stage of life for many of the "jellyfish" and are related to such colonial hydrozoans like the fire coral.

It just occured to me, that's where my jellies vanished too :p
